Hey all!!! Just stoppin' by to say Howdy!
I live about 30 miles south of Nashville. I have not had a smoker in about 10 years, so I was very pleased to get one for my birthday last month. My lovely wife bought me one of the Brinkmann Vertical Propane Smoker.
Last week was my maiden voyage, so I wanted to something easy...porkchops. Used a store bought pork rub with apple juice in the water bowl. The taste was great, but they were a little dry. I will try brining next time!
I got about 10 minutes left on my first EVER ribs attempt. My wife wanted 'em tender, so I tried the 2-2-1 method with just a little sauce applied with 30 minutes to go. We'll see how they turn out...
Didn't mean to get so windy...just excited to be smokin' again!!!!!
