Hey from Jocosa in Georgia... used an ECB as a grill when I was in college, but guess that doesn't count... :)

My fiance and I just bought a 16" GOSM, we'll get it fired up and seasoned after I return from a work trip to AR/MS/AL...

We enjoy outdoor cooking, this has evolved over time as we improve the menus we offer friends in our camp at medieval reenactment events. A smoker is just the next step as we typically feed 30+ in our camp.

Looking forward to learning the smoking skill and experimenting with rubs and mops. I'll be trying several different varieties of homebrewed ale for mops for certain.

I appreciate all the info and advice I've read on here so far...

Welcome to SMF! Glad you joined us! Please consider taking Jeff's 5-day ecourse on smoking basics as a good way to start.

Take care, have fun, and do good!

Regards,

Meowey

Ex-ATLien here, Douglasville is a nice area, miss the dogwoods is spring...

Homebrews huh? Gotta get a hold of DeejayDebi. She makes EVEERYTHING. Including beer.

Dig in and ask lots of questions! In turn we ask only for pics of your goods!

Smoking and brewin do go well together! Glad to have you aboard! I do 5 gallon batches and mostly keg. I'm kind of parcial to darker brews myself - I like a nice malty brew!
