Hey everyone new to the forum and some what new to smoking. I have a smoke hollow 4-1 grill with a attached smoker box. I haven't done much if any smoking in about 20 years, but after a pretty successful fishing trip to Alaska I'm wanting to fire up that smoker box and give it a try. Now I did try some halibut on it last week and it came out pretty darn good. But the thing bleeds smoke every where so I have to do so modification to it. I also had a lot of trouble keeping my temperature where I wanted. Also any information on wood would be a great help not necessarily types but chips verses chunks and how to use it in the box, and should I soak it or not. Basically anything that can help me use it and get the most out of it. Thanks

Hi from Oregon!!

Smoke hollows are great! If you use the search feature of the forum and enter "smoke hollow" you will find threads where you can read about other mods people have done to theirs. Also there are sub-forums for the different kinds of smokers where you can get more specific info.

I love halibut! Next time you fire it up show us some pics!!!
