Hey I'm new to smoking and the site. Just bought a char broil offset and trying it out on some ribs for the first time. Spent the last 3 hours smoking and reading different forums. Invaluable help for a first timer.

Hello and welcome to the forum, from East Texas.    Well how did they turn out ?

Thanks. Ribs were tasty but a bit heavy on the smoke. Had a lot of trouble controlling the temp as well. I was reading the forums on some mods and it think that will help a lot, especially the coal basket and a baffle. Can't wait for a second attempt with a few upgrades!
