I'm Jim from Saskatchewan, bought my 24" Camp Chef SV about 5 months ago, and been coming here I'd guess on average 5 times a day to learn since.

The smoking's going great, everybody loves it, haven't wrecked a cook yet! The smell of the rub, meat and smoke mingling together still amazes me everytime.

Big thanks to everyone who's posted here, I hope I can learn a bit more by joining and maybe give some advice as well.

BTW, I'm going to get a cheap Char Broil smoker as soon as it's in stock, going to have a few mods done at the fabrication shop and hopefully perfect it. I'll

try to post pics/ pricing of the project if I can learn how to :) Love the ease of propane but I'm ready to step it up a notch.

This site is awesome, just great how everyone can share secrets freely. World would be a better place if everywhere were like this BBQ forum!

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Welcome to the board! There's a mosquito on your neck.

Yes this board wants pics. There's a button you can click above the reply box, then you can choose a file on your computer or the URL of an image you already have out somewhere.
