I looked at several BBQ forums and looked at the ingredients and amounts of at least 20 different Boston Butt rubs that I liked and compared the ingredients to my tastes.

Spicy, saltier less sweet, and savory
4 tablespoons Seasoned salt (I used Norton's Nature's Seasons)
3 tablespoons Sugar
4 tablespoons Garlic powder
4 tablespoons Onion powder
4 tablespoons Paprika
2 tablespoons Chili powder
1 tablespoon Cumin
3 tablespoons Black pepper
1 tablespoon Cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons Lemon pepper seasoning
1 tablespoon Ground ginger
1 tablespoon Dried thyme
1 tablespoon Ancho chili powder
1 teaspoon of Celery seeds
1 tablespoon Dry mustard
1 teaspoon Allspice
