Help!!!

    I'm new (less than 20) to smoking. Using a WSM w/ a 6# BB.
    I basted all nite in a apple juice, partial rub.
    Full rub this morn, put on smoker @ 0800 at 1st check, 1030, I had a gray puss oozing out, keep cooking or toss it and have chicken 4 supper?

    Wait, could it be what my granny called pot liquor, when u cook a frozen pot roast.
    My BB had been frozen
