HELP! New Smoker!

    I just bought a Master Forge propane smoker.  I seasoned it last night and have my first batch of ribs in there now.  My problem?  There's hardly any smoke coming out of the chimney.  The side vents are almost all the way closed and the chimney is wide open.  but, I just don't see a lot of smoke.  I soaked my wood chips for about 3 hours...What am I doing wrong?  Thanks in advance!!  :)

    I know it says to soak the chips. I only soak the chips when i'm using charcoal and then only for 1/2 hour. When i'm using propane or electric I do not soak my chips. I would pull the wet chips out and put dry chips in. Jeff

    Are you smelling smoke????? You want TBS (thin blue smoke) or no smoke and just the smell of it. If you can smell it so can the meat. I don't soak chips either tho
  6. Do you find that by not soaking the chips, you go through the chips faster?  I lightly soaked my chips - maybe a half hour the longest.  I, too am new to this.  I have a Propane Masterbuilt Cookmaster Vertical smoker.
