I've been searching the net for a good beef rib rub recipe for short ribs. I've always created my own, but I just can't seem to get what i'm looking for. I don't want a sweet rub. My ideal taste are for something in between a strong prime rib beef taste (lower salt) to a mild seasoned beef taste.

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

I hope I've described well enough.

Thanks in Advance,

I usually just brush them with olive oil, put some kosher salt, blk pepper, and a little garlic powder on them and smoke them 3-2-1.

On my  beef short ribs In addition to kosher salt and garlic power, i use a chipolte honey rub, harrisa spice rub and a little smoked paparika ....I love this blend of seasonings...I purchase from a company called Whole Spice in the bay area...http://wholespice.com/     They give a good description  of their blends to give you an idea of what they consist of ..but they also ship...And these guys have it all !!!!!!  I hope this helps ,.I love short ribs smoked , and i prefer cooking the racks uncut ......Brad
