Now you didn't make the knockwurst did you??? If you are just heating them up I would say that you could let them go for maybe 1 hour or an hour and a half or so with the your smoker at 200°. Then you can go to wally world alot of them are open 24 hours. I have one of their thermo meters and it works just fine. You just have to test your thermos maybe once a month, I do.

Thanks, pulled them off at 1 1/2 hours. They will be barbecued before served. I had just bought a new maverick thermometer and it didn't last for a month. Thanks for the suggestion.

You don't need a thermometer for Bratwurst of pity sake, just cook it till it's done.  If you had been their cook, the cave men would have staved to death for sure and none of us would be here today.

HI 2much smoke... here do you live that "everything" is closed... There is a wal-mart in every town and they are open 24/7

Anyway did you check the batteries the ones that come with Thermo are usually old of no good to start out with.

Also if you have a remote it will lock up it out of range and all you have to do is walk back to the sending unit and wait a minute and it will start working...

Hope your knackwurst came out ok!!!

Where's the Qview? And on your Maverick, give Maverick Industries a call everything I've read they have great customer service and will most likely ship out a new one.
