Hey everyone out there in SMF land! I've been following Jeff and his monthly online article for quite some time, and finally had time to check out this forum.
About me - my motto is, "If it ain't smok'en, I ain't cook'en"! I've been Q'n for most of my life, and the fun for me is building and trying different gadgets that I've been introduced to mostly in hunting camps. I've got my "Barrel-Q" which comes from a crazy bunch in California who specialize in Tri-Tips (a cut I haven't heard too much of you officianodo's talk about), my Cajun Microwave from, you guessed it, Louisiana, and a whole lot of other contraptions that I've built.
My latest is a converted coal stoker to smoker! Still working out the bugs, but I think this one may make all of my other prize BBQ equipment obsolete.
I've rattled on enough - but in closing, I gotta figure out this OTBS thing! I'm hoping someone can give me the history on that - what a cool idea, and sounds like a prized award I hope to get my hands on.
Later,
Tracey
