Hi All,

Just joined your group as a nice guy from one of the Facebook BBQ groups pointed me here.  I'm looking to build a brick smoker/grill this summer and want to get some good education, so if you have some good plans/tips/links I would appreciate all of the help I can get!

Thanks again,

Jeff Cousins in Minnesota

Jeff-

Welcome to SMF!

I have only built Metal smokers, but there are some guys on here that have built brick smoke houses.

Good luck!

Welcome Renne That is up to you on the water there is a mix here on it. Search the forum and you will probably find your answer and definitely opinions. You can start a thread asking there as well.

Post more of what and why you're wanting to use brick etc. There is all kinds of different and economical  smoker build options to choose from to fit a person's budget.

Remember one thing, comercial built or home built ? The smoker is only as good as the person using it!  You can have a smoker with all the whistles and bells. But if you don't understand what you are trying to accomplish  and how to go about doing it correctly, it's kind of pointless!

You should have no problem finding all the correct info you need before starting your project, just keep us posted if you can with pic of your progress. Good Luck !
