Bowling Green
Hello all.  I am an avid outdoorsman.  I am from south central Kentucky, and live in Bowling Green Ky.  I've hunted and fished all of my life.  Very fortunate to have taken my share of fish and game.  I cook and grill a lot, but I've never used this smoker I got as a gift several years ago.  It is time...  Looking forward to making some delicious meals.  Merry Christmas.

It is a Brinkmann all in one barrel type smoker.  It is a combo fryer, charcoal, and propane cooker.  I got it several years ago as a gift and finally decided to put it to use.  I intend to go the propane route for simplicity.  I grill a lot, 2-3 times a week, but have never smoked anything.  Looking forward to the new experience.

When I say 'barrel type", I mean it is an upright barrel type.  I don't have any idea if it is a good one, probably not, but ya gotta start somewhere....  I found this recipe on brinkmann's sight.  I plan to try it for my first attempt.

Please see my post titled first shot. need help please

Welcome! We just moved away from BG - ever hear of SOKY Happenings? We sold it in 2012 and moved to Tucson. Still miss that beautiful town but not the winters. You're going to love this place!!!
