Well, I guess I am the latest new guy. I live in Nebraska. Anyone else? The smoker I am using, is home made. It sounds a little trashy, but it's actually one of the best and cheapest smokers you can have. It's made from an old 1950's refrigerator. The kind with an all steel interior and a metal seal around the door. After stripping it of all the extra parts, I powder coated it with high temp black paint, installed a flue, 4 removable racks, a dial thermometer in the door, an adjustable thermostat switch which controls 3 electric coils for the heat. i added a drippings catch pan, to sit above the coils and keep them clean and a pan that rests above the coils for wood chips to smolder. It cost only about 100 dollars for parts. It looks amazing smokes like any professional unit. Can do upwards of 60 lbs of meat at a time.
