Hello,

I am just getting into smoking! Ever since I was young, I have always loved bbq! My neighbor was always smoking something in the backyard, and always had us try his food. As I got older, I became more and more interested in the art form. I wish I would have learned from him at the time, because he moved. I decided to pick up the famous brinkman smoke n' grill at the store because it was so cheap. What a headache! I had no idea what I was doing! I had trouble with the charcoal and made a huge mess. Adding charcoal was pretty annoying, so I decided to pick up the electric heating element from my local hardware store. I really like it, but I hate seeing smoke pour out when I add more chips every twenty five minutes! I love building things, and I really want to build an ugly drum smoker! I have so many questions! How often should chips or blocks of wood be added into these things? The one I want to build is:

I plan on building one of these on this upcoming Friday! I will want two racks!
