Hello,

My name is Travis.  I live in Houston Texas.  I am 30 years old.  I bought my first smoker on the 3rd of July in order to smoke some spare ribs for the 4th of July.  I used the rub sold on this website.  The ribs came out awesome and I look forward to many more delicious meals from this device.

I am using a Master Forge 2 door gas smoker.

More details on the spare ribs:  I followed the 3-2-1 method mentioned in the smoking basics guide.  I used Hickory which was added at the beginning of the smoke and 1.5 hours in.  For the "2" step I didn't have any apple juice so I added a mix of water and cider vinegar in the wrapping.  The last step was closer to 1.5 hours  The temp during smoking was higher than I wanted at 250-270.  The gas burner wouldn't get any lower and it was a hot day out.  However things turned out well.

Hey Travis, hello and welcome from your neighbor in East Texas
