Hello, My name is Steve and I have always enjoyed watching the "Smoking" show on TV, Myron Mixon and etc. so about two years ago i decided to make a T shaped smoker out of two 55 gal. drums. I found some plans online that worked pretty well along with some guess work and it ended up not being too bad. It works but does leak a lot of smoke and it is hard to keep a constant temp.
It does work and I have smoked many good tasting Pork Shoulders, ribs and chickens.
For my next build, I want to go big (er). I hope (in the next year or so) to find a 250 or 500 gallon propane tank and use that to build a reverse flow smoker. I have already found some great tips and info on the site. Looking forward to learning much more and someday contributing to someone newer than me.
