I am anxiously awaiting my master built 30 inch digital electronic smoker. The reviews I have read have been mostly positive. Although I am new to using an electric smoker, I am fairly well versed in cooking in general. Thank you in advance for any beginners tips I might receive. However, I am really kind of interested in anyone who has smoked unusual things. By unusual things I mean things like salt, cheese, different types of peppers, chipotle, paprika, oysters, clams, shrimp, maybe even scallops!
I don't anticipate any problems with the ribs, chicken, pork, fish, etc. and I have read many of the threads already. You guys share a lot of good stuff. I think I will be learning a lot on this site. Thanks again!

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

I just got my 30 inch masterbuilt electric smoker today. I'm "seasoning" it right now. I can't wait to cook some meat.[emoji]128526[/emoji][emoji]10071[/emoji]️

By the way the five-day Ecorse link provided will not load for me.[emoji]128533[/emoji] any suggestions for my first smoke?
