Southern California
I just created an account because I often find myself here looking for info . . . I grew up on a cattle farm in KS and my now husband relocated me to sunny Southern California about 7 years ago.  I am pretty well versed in the kitchen and have been working on my smoking skills for about 5 years now.  I started on a Traeger Lil' Tex and recently bumped up to a larger size Traeger.  Also in our arsenal is a Weber Summit propane grill and a Weber Charcoal Kettle (yes, there are only 2 of us!).  I am dabbling more & more and hope to be using a stick burner in the near future, so I am obviously tweaking every time I set up.  Luckily, climate is not a problem here but I have a hard time duplicating results when I visit family in KS.  I know this will be a great resource for me in the future!

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
