Hello new member here

I looked around the site and I am amazed at some of the smokers!
My name is Derek I live just out side of Douglas AZ I am just starting to smoke useing a Brinkmen smokin-pit. Years ago I had a friend who smoked meat and made jerky I mostly cut wood and ate

so I did not learn much. I smoked a Pork loin last weekend and it came out very well.If you like a very heavy smoke taste i think it would be more than most taste would run but I enjoyed it. I forgot how much I liked the smoke taste! I very much look foward to ideas and recipes on this site.
Oh and I will never live long enough to run out of misqute my family owns two ranchs in AZ about 34 sections about 21000 acres.If any one needs misqute let me know I have more han I need.

Moter you are correct less than a stones throw my familys land starts right at D hill just East of Town and goes to mile marker 11 on Geronimo Trl. about Ten miles of the boarder of Sonora Mexico yea I have footprints all over me from the traffic, things are getting a littil crazy here with the Caetels warring. Mods if this is not correct I will remove it or feel free to do so.I only write this as a look into my life here on the Boarder.
On to the smoking.......Meat that is!

Thank all of you here I have allready learned how to fix the problems with my smoker (smoknpit) to get a more even temp. I cannot wait to start smoking something.
