I was born in athens georgia, huge GEORGIA BULLDAWG FAN but grew up in atlanta, i now live in kansas city missouri.

i have always loved grilling but the last few years i have really gotting into smoking meats and chicken. my first smoker was a small 30 dollar one from walmart but it did the job, my first smoke was a brisket on my daughters 1st birthday, and no it was not for the party and it turned out good not great but good, pretty sure i used hickory wood and used a vinegar based injection and sweet rub. i would use this smoker for about a year and smoke ribs(not very good at yet but did a great batch for the falcons jets game a few weeks ago, i did a turkey for thanksgiving and used a butter based injection and it was very good. my neighbor one day asked me if i was interested in buying a big smoke(horizantal with the big hot box) a brinkman at that and it was used but in great shape, so i have been using that one to smoke for about 8 months now, i am far from a pro but would not say a rookie either.

love cooking for the bulldogs and falcons games. happy new year
