  1.   Well Im new at this game, but are very interesting in learning.  I have a Smoker thats built in Texas..  Im out of town at the moment, but will update on that.

Anyway its like the Oklahoma joe's side firebox burner with a smokestack type.  Ive done some Ribs at first, but they were well not great but eatable.

Over a 3 month period of time Ive become addicted to the BBQ Pitt Masters Challenge on cable, and have to say have learned alot.

But by no means know enough.  Im looking forward to meeting and researching here as much as possible, and know with what Ive seen so far in some of these threads at various comment, Ive came to the right place.

       Thanks for having me.  Dave

[IMG]to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Hi Dave, and welcome aboard!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  When in doubt, just ask and someone here will have the answer.

Dave, you have definitely come to the right place. I started smoking last fall and had little success until I found this forum. There is so much information in the posts and the members have been generous with their advice.

I am sure you will love the forums too.
