I have been casually smoking for a year or so, did a few tri-tips, one chuck roast and my last was a pork butt. I had a bullet smoker, but just recently upgraded to the Oklahoma Joe's Highlander Offset smoker, used it twice so far is all. I would definitely be considered a novice but am looking forward to learning.

Well, Brenn if you want to learn you've come to the right place! Welcome to SMF University. We have very knowledgeable members here that are willing to share what they know. We were all in the NOVICE class at one time and for most of us oldtimers, we didn't have this thing call the internet to use when we needed help.

Look around the forums and get settled in because you're going to be busy for a long while.

Enjoy the Smoke!
