Hey all,

I've been lurking and commenting on posts here since discovering you all, so I guess I should introduce myself.

Born and raised in Maryland, just turned 40... I've been cooking since I was 2, but only smoking meats since late February.  I've done whole chickens twice, wings, ribs, pulled pork, and even some smoked eggs since then.  Lots of great info on here, and everything I have made to date has been delicious thanks to the info here.  This weekend I will be doing (at minimum) a top round "Maryland" style and ribs.

Still learning all the acronyms here, but one I know is that I have a MES.  I inherited it from my neighbor across the street as he wasn't using it anymore, WIN!

I also have a fairly large garden, with the hopes of raising meat soon, and owning a farm one day.  I am not a hunter yet, but I do hope to go soon to stock my freezer and smoker.  (if anyone has any nuisance deer or pigs in MD they need taken care of LMK)

Cheers guys!

John
