I'm a newbie to the forum, although to be honest I've been lurking for awhile now.  I stumbled across the site while looking for tips on making delicious BBQ ... one of the pork loin recipes I found was a hit on the 4th of July.

I'm in Austin, TX, and cook on an ugly drum that Santa Claus brought for me last year.  Now if I could just get that old coot to bring me some brisket, or even some reindeer backstrap I would be set.

Last thing I smoked was bacon (cold smoked), and I'm planning to run a test turkey in the next couple days in preparation for Thanksgiving.  Other then that, I like brisket, ribs, and pork butts ... the three main food groups.

On top of my BBQ obsession, I collect knives, and like train brazilian jiujitsu ... helpful because I have three daughters.  :|

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
