I stumbled on to this site while searching for build ideas. Amazed at the amount of information here.

I'm actually building a vertical smoker for a friend who is in need of more capacity. It will be my first smoker build and what I have in mind is going to be a big job. I just picked up an old oil tank yesterday and in the process of sketching ideas. I'll be sure to post progress in the forum.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

That should make a nice smoker. Post pics in the build section so we can all fallow along.
Happy smoken.
