Hello Everyone. Im from central WI and have been roasting and smoking for about 10 years now. I am pretty much self taught, with some help from friends and family. I have built my own portable spit roaster that has cooked about 25 pigs now. It also can be used as a charcoal grill that has cooked for various local events over the years. I started smoking with a small brinkman bought at a garage sale. I then built a cold smoker out of a old refrigarator that was used mainly for jerky and fish. My latest project is an upright two door cooler conversion i picked up from a local tavern that went out of business, it is 6' tall, 5' wide and about 3' deep. I will be posting various pictures in the near future. I really would like to learn more about making homemade sausage and bacon, i think i have found the right place.
