Very new to smoking food. Tried once last year on a brinkman cheap o... not good. Just bought a 20' Horizon Marshall. Looking 4 a place on the net 4 wood. I was thinking smokinliscious.com

Welcome to SMF congrats on the new smoker. I can't help with the wood question I cut my own but I'm sure some people will be along that can help ya out with sources

welcome aboard, what kind of wood ya got in mind?? I have a bunch of green mesquite and I'm looking to trade it for some of them northern woods..
 
First off welcome to SMF. It sounds like you are well on your way to be an outstanding new member of this fine site. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.

Welcome. You'll enjoy SMF. As far as your questions, I would think that wood on the net might be spendy as you have to pay to ship it. Are you looking for whole sticks or chuncks or chips/sawdust. If chuncks or chips are what you are looking for, have you tried a farm supply store (i.e. Mills Fleet Farm?) I would bet they have something like this for you. As my uncle used to say if you can't find it at Mills Fleet Farm, you don't really need it. If you ever find Packer's tickets that you want to get rid of let me know. The wife and I went to the home opener this year against the Bears. What a great time! Will do it again hopefully this year. Good Luck.
