Hello from TN

Hello All!

I just found this forum. It looks like a great community! I have been smoking meat on gas and charcoal grills for the past 1-1 1/2 years with pretty good results (at least to me, my wife and a few others), but I still have a lot to learn.

My wife got me a BBQ Grillware Propane Vertical Smoker for our anniversary recently, and I am adjusting to the transition from grill smoking to smoker smoking. I did a pork butt two weeks ago and, to my surprise, had fairly good results. However, I don't feel like I'm using the smoker efficiently and effectively enough. More on that in another thread.

Anyway, thanks for having me! I look forward to getting to know all of you better!

Just reading some the old posts has helped in various areas already!

White Cloud, the name thing is somewhat surprising. I would think that the system would have told me that name is unavailable. If your brother goes by smoke whisperer rather than smokewhisperer, that might explain the reason why I was able to register with that name. Nonetheless, if you or your brother would prefer me to change the name, I will. Just let me know. I also appreciate you considering a brother in smoke, which is the way I feel about you and everyone else on the forum already!
