TN summer, AZ winter
Hi All,

I'm a retired codger recently getting into smoking. I spend summers in TN and my winters in AZ. There are a few benefits to getting old.

I have been gleaning info from this site for a while and figured I better join up.

Did a brisket a few days ago, first one. Due to the help from here, it came out great. Can't wait for the next one. I did a flat iron steak this evening, thanks for the help Jeff.

Hello Jake and Welcome to our addiction.  A word of warning: There is no 12 step program for this one!  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Hey Jake, welcome to the site, congrats on the brisket, that's a tough piece of meat to get right. (Pun intended) The more you smoke the more your hooked, Looking forward to seeing more post and pictures.
