Hello from the Show Me State

Hello,

I am a total newbie to smoking meats.  My wife and I have been talking about getting a smoker for a while, and decided last week to take the plunge.  I bought Jeff's book, Smoking Meats, and have been studying it, and watching videos.  We picked up our Masterbuilt 40" Window smoker late this evening.  Hoping to try it out before we take off on an extended motorcycle trip next week.
