Howdy folks, I'm Steve from south/central Texas. Have beek lurkin' for a few weeks (thnx for the education) and thought it was time to introduce myself. I've been a Mr. Mom/furniture maker for 35 years. In that time I've honed my skills in the kitchen and done some grillin, dutch oven cooking and jerky makin but haven't done much smoking or Qing until the last couple of years. Then I found SMF. <GRIN>

Among the equipment I have is an Emberglow 4 burner SS gasser, a NBBD clone from Academy, an ECB with lots of mods and a Weber 22" kettle. Some of the woods i've used: mesquite (I make furniture out of the big pieces) apple, pear, pecan, cherry and alder.

Thanks again for all the good info. I look forward to more and to putting my .02 in once in a while. I'll try to learn the ins and outs of q-view and give y'all what you really seem to crave. I must be hooked, I like lookin at your Q-view too.
