Just want to introduce myself on this forum
My name is Kirk I live in Tacoma, WA. I just bought a like new used smoker as I decided to get into smoking meats.
I've been lurking on this site over the last few days and deciced to join up.
I got into this by purchasing a propane smoker for my Dad on fathers day a couple of years ago. He could cook up some meals that were better than any of the bbq resteraunts around here with it. A few months ago he retired and moved to Arizona. I've been missing him and his cooking. So as I mentioned. I picked up a Royal Oak electric smoker that had only been used once on Wednesday. Washed it down and it looks like new. I also re-seasoned it. And made my first meal with it today. I did up some Pork country shoulder ribs and a chicken. It turned out pretty good.
In my spare time besides grilling. I enjoy sports football, (Seahawks season ticket holder) Baseball, basketball, Hockey, MMA. Going to car shows, playing cards, camping and the outdoors, and good micro brew.
Look forward to being a part of this forum and will try to contribute the best I can.
