Hey all,
I am from sunny southern California and am new to the smoking world. I am a long time charcoal griller (Lump only)and wanted to learn how to smoke. I learned all my grilling ways from my grandpa whos was the guru of the grill and smoker (One of those people that were asked to grill at every lodge party, cookout, etc.) . Unfortunately I never got to do any smoking with him and I am very interested in learning. I just picked up my grandpas older Smokehouse electric smoker and will take his larger offset once i have room and get the smoking technique down. I'm the type that loves to do everything the old and pure way so that i get the best tasting meat possible so i really want to get into stick burning and spending long hours tending the fire and drinking some cold ones.
Well long story short i stumbled across Smoking-Meat.com and these forums and loved the information and ease of instruction(wish there was a little more on stick burning). Cant wait to pick every ones brains and gain as much knowledge as possible so I can make some amazing food.
