My name is Jason and I live in Summerville, SC. I have been smoking for about 4yrs now. I started with a little Brinkman smoker/grill. Since then I have upgraded. I now use a homemade propane smoker/slow cooker. I finished the unit about 1.5 yrs ago and two weeks later cooked my first hog on it. With much success, Up until 6 mos ago it was used at least twice a month. I will be returning home from Afghanistan in two weeks and already have several cookouts booked. I am still working on sauce and rub recipes, have came close a few times but cant find that perfect one that I really like. So, hopefully with this forum I can gain more knowledge and get pointers from more seasoned Q'ers and become THAT BBQ GUY that everyone talks about!
