I am searching around to get ideas for building an oil tank pig roaster with a rotisserie. I've come across a few good ideas here, but am still puzzled about building an inexpensive (Rube Goldberg) type of rotisserie. Any ideas?
Take your time, and study, you will see a BUNCH of different types of smokers, even some from old oil tanks. Consider what is right for YOU, and you'll find a lot of ways to prevent making mistakes, and hints to make your perfection. GOOD LUCK!

First off welcome to SMF. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
Thanks everybody for welcoming me to SMF. I cut mine like Bearcarver did in his build and am now in the process of figuring out how to construct the lip between the top and bottom half. Does anybody actually have a set of plans for this type of build. I wasn't planning on using side boxes on it but that could change.
