I got an interest in smoking meats from my father in law. When we go visit he smokes a variety of meats and they taste amazing. So I thought i would try my hand at it. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a smoker yet until I kinda got a feel for smoking first. So I purchased a (ECB) to start with and can't wait to mod it out. (I love messing with stuff like that). I've been looking online at different ways to mod this thing ( brinkmans smoke n grill) I got some materials from the Home Depot "real" thermostats material for a damper moved the legs to the outside planned on drilling some holes in the charcoal pan. Would appreciate any further ideas in improving the (ECB). Thanks [emoji]128515[/emoji][emoji]128077[/emoji]

Got some of the mods done so far ...I've smoked a pork roast and some barracuda so far . Both came out great btw. Tomorrow gonna smoke some St. Louis spare ribs for my dad . Hope they come out alright . Planning on using apple and possibly hickory chips fir the smoke. I think I figured out how to pits pics on here now. These should be pics if the mods I've done so far.

Those mods will really help, try wood chunks instead of chips.
