Greetings from the Sunshine State. I'm new to smoking. Just received a new Charbroil electric smoker from the family for my 50th. We've been experimenting for the last few weeks and have made lots of fish, one pork shoulder and some corn. All has turned out very good. We currently have a Boston butt and some brisket smoking right now. Gonna finish the day off with some more corn and potatoes and another experiment. Gonna see what smoking pineapple is like. Yeah, I know, it sounds a bit strange but we figured why not. Also want to try peaches and other things later on. Anyone have any hints and/or warnings on this?

We love this new smoker and have had no problems whatsoever. We really enjoy trying new recipes and look forward to learning new things from being here and also sharing anything we have learned.

Thanks,

Dave

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a windy but nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
