Hi,

My name is Liz and I live in Southern California, by the beach, where right now we're experiencing "June Gloom".

I'm new to this forum and new to smoking. It's something I've wanted to do for a very long time (I did try it once on my gas grill with OK results) and have had my eye on the Big Green Egg for a long time.  However, since it's waaaay out of my price range, especially for a newbie, I finally bought a Brinkman Gourmet Electric Smoker & Grill.  I made my first pork shoulder last weekend with mixed results.  And know off the bat a few things I did wrong so I can correct them.  Today I'm going to do a slab of baby backs.  I look forward to reading other posts and learning from everyone.

Happy smoking!
