Hi, I am new to smoking. I ordered a MES 40 so I'm jumping in with both feet. We will see how it goes. I have enjoyed reading the forums here at SMF. It is one of the reasons I am giving it a go. Thanks for letting me hang out. Brian

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/terms-of-service

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Hello Brian....Welcome to SMF...The MES30 is a great unit. I just bought one last year and now have three smokers. Nice when I want to do lots of smoking at once. The MES is my favorite for smoking fish or sausage and for overnight butts....

ill be in Savannah sometime next week!!!

can you suggest any places to eat please?  Southern, Soul, BBQ?

thanks!
Stay away from Paula Deen resturant cuz it aint that good. Mrs Wilkes used to be good too but now its just a tourist trap.

Lots of places to eat on River and Bay Streets, Ellis square (Market) has a few places as well as Broughton St

For soul food try these

Try sisters of the new south.

L & J Soul food

Sweet Potatoes

BBQ

SandFly

Johnny Harris

Rib Hut

If you like seafood.

Crab Shack on Tybee Island

Stingrays on Tybee

Uncle Bubba's

These are on River street

Huey's

Tubby's

Bay Street has lots of places.

Moon River

And if you like beer you gotta go to World Of Beers
