Hello,  I'm from South Central, Pennsylvania my husband and I have been smoking as a team.  I find recipes and do some of the prep and he helps prep and watches the smoke.  He also taste tests!   We are casual smokers.  We have a gas vertical smoker,  nothing fancy but the right size for us.  We've done pulled pork, turkey breast,  bacon(used a purchased cure),  we smoked our Christmas turkey,  and my absolute favorite  smoked salmon,  which we use alder wood,  also baked beans.  Looking to smoke more veggies,  and beef.

Looking forward to learning more, and expanding our smoking repertoire.

Thanks for the welcome,  we are going to try to smoke some shrimp and corn tonight,  but tomorrow we will be smoking salmon.  I also have pork belly that I just put the cure on,  that will take some time to cure but then smoked bacon!!!  I got the cure from golbsalt.com  Trying BBQ, and sweet and spicy,  also savory herb,  which we've tried before and my husband said it was the best bacon he ever had.
