Hey Everybody,

How is everyone today..I am a pretty good cook but new to the world of smoking my own. I have some very good friends who are VERY GOOD and anything I do right initially, is from hanging around the smoker with them.

I am big into my kids, my motorcycle and cooking...I am hoping to drive the neighbors wild with the smoke and maybe start a little side business and maybe start competing just for the fun of it :).

My friends run Traegers and I love the "controlled" nature. I am looking to get into this a little cheaper so I am think of building and putting a Bradley smoking unit on my smoker.

So much to learn...and so little meat!!!

I am sure I will talk to you soon!!

Welcome to the site OEB, stick around and before you know it you will be teaching your buddies a thing or two about smoking up some goodness and hopefully taking home some trophies in competitions.

Welcome to SMF. Sign up for the 5 day ecourse. Lots of great information in there. Glad that you joined up and give it a little bit of time and with the help of people here you will be smokin like a champ.

Hello, and welcome to the SMF. There's plenty of great advise available to you, just read and/or ask.

Welcome to the smf....Glad you are into you family.....nothing brings them together like torturing them all day will the delecible smell of dinner in the smoker and making them wait all day until it is done.

Mine have actually self imposed hunger strikes for the day just so they can eat more at dinner....and I never thought I would see the day my son passed up an opportunity to eat.....Come to think of it....on the days they have waitied all day on the smoker have been the quietest meal times we have had....hmmmmm...now there is some food for thought.

Glad to see you have arrived. Good luck with your quest to find a good inexpensive smoker that rivals your friends Treagger.
