Newbie here. I've been a big fan of tastey smoked meat and cheese for a long time, but just bought my first smoker, a MES 40. After reading a bunch of reviews I decided to go with the model that has the controls on the top back with the vent on top. I also purchased the A-MAZ-N Pellet smoker. The Mes 40 just arived yesterday and still waiting on the AMZNP so I haven't smoked anything yet. I've got a ton to learn but I'm confident I can find and learn what I need here.

A little about me. I was born and raised in MO and will probably die here. I live in the country on 10 acres in East Central Missouri and work in the Military Aerospace industry as a Mechanical Engineer in St. Louis. Been married for 32 yrs and have 2 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren (all boys). My hobbies include hunting and fishing, shooting firearms and building AR rifles. I/we also are a hobby breeder of English Mastiffs.

Looking forward to being a member.

Hello John and welcome to the group!  Glad you joined us.  Congrats on that new MES...lots of members here use those, so there will always be plenty of help and advice when you need it.

Have fun and happy smoking!
