Hey everyone, I am new to the world of forums and I think I posted my previous hello to the wrong area. But, after a week or so perusing this forum, I think I've got my bearings.

My names Copter, and I'm from the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. I received a MES 30 for fathers day and per many recomendations here I picked up an AMNPS. That product sure takes the leg work out of smoking. I attempted my first smoke over the weekend, a pork butt. Smoked it for 13 hours. Turned out great, but I slightly over seasoned it. Live and learn right. I can't wait til I can fire it up again. Planning on turkey legs tonight. I've been brineing them for 3 days.

I never knew what a community he smoking world was and I'm glad to be a part of it. This site has already helped me and I'm sure it will be my saving grace many times in the future.

Glad to have you with us, Copter! I'm something of an old dog and being in an internet forum is a new trick for me, but they're pretty forgiving here (lucky for me)!
Dan

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a hot day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
