Hello SMF members...I've been interested in smoking for some time, and decided to pull the trigger this week on an MES 40 model 70311. Most of my decision came from this forum, so I thought I should join and learn a lot and maybe offer a little.
I've been the meat business since 1986, starting as cleanup boy at a Kroger store in Dayton, OH while attending college. One thing led to another an 29 years later still in the business. I worked as a retail meat manager for Meijer until 2000, then moved on to my current company here in Eden Prairie, MN, where I've held positions in sales, merchandising and sourcing, so hopefully I can be somewhat of a contributor while I'm learning from all of you.
I love hunting pheasant and deer hunting, which provides me with plenty of wild game to smoke or make sausage from. I also love to cook and grill...I'm a proud meat eater!
So I'm excited to get started with my new smoker and look forward to learning from all of you, the experts on this forum.
Thanks for accepting me in and for listening to my story.
Jeff
