Hey All,

I'm originally from just outside of Toronto, Ontarion but have been living here about 12 years now.

Cooking / grilling (charcoal only) is a hobby and I finally decided to get a smoker.

I picked up a Smoke Hollow electric smoker this weekend. I decided on electric after lurking on this site for about a month. Why electric? I like the ease of setting it and leaving it. I'll be using it at the cabin and I don't want to have to stay put and babysit it all day.

I've been pretty successful smoking stuff (especially fish) on my Brinkman charcoal grill,,,,but having to tend it constantly was a bit of a pain.

I can't wait to try te new smoker. One thing I used to do with the grill for fish is to marinate the filets in Strongbow Cider for a few hours before cooking/smoking on the grill. Always came out moist with just the right amount of flavor.

Look forward to trying some recipes and picking up tips etc from everyone here.

K.
