Been a lurker for about a year now, decided that I MUST join!

So far, this forum has helped my smoking experience expand beyond the chore stage to the enjoyment stage.

I thank SMF for that

I will have pics of the last few slabs of ribs I have done as soon as I slap another hard drive into this computer.

I decided I was going to be true and bought one of the "barrel" type smokers last year, said to myself "self get rid of the propane grill"

So now I only cook on the smoker, no slam to the gas guys intended.

lastly....GO WINGS!!!!!!!!

I like Wings!!!!!!! Especially with "Spicy Garlic Sauce"!!!!!!!!!!! Go STARS!!!!

Ok, thats over, Big Aloha and Welcome to SMF!!!! Glad you finally decided to sign up. Since you are somewhat close to Grand Raids, hope to see ya at the Taste!

Since you've been lurking, ya know we like pics!!!!!! Again, glad ya finally took the big step!

Hello from Plymouth. Glad you came in out of the lurker-land cold. Welcome to the SMF. We look forward to you additions to the knowledge base.

PS - Don't any of you all like the Pistons? They are doing ok.

Welcome to the forums from the only thumb in the states. Did small meat loaf tonight for dinner. gotta luv the smokers.
And on another note its hard to beat a team when ya throw in the referees to help them.

DJ, welcome to the site, great to have another Michigan man, and a red wings fan!

Welcome from the thumb, glad to have you. We do some canning, freezing and pickling here ourselves. Can't wait to get the sweet corn planted, So far onions, garlic, ( which should of been planted last fall but didn't) broccolli, cabbage and peas. Still have green beans, tomatoes, peppers, corn, squash, watermelon, beets, radishes, cucumbers, corn and sunflowers to plant.

wow thats a lot to plant, I just have a small backyard in Berkley.

Discovered the joys and tribulations of gardening over the last few years, with the weather, and loss of bees.

How do I upload pics to Qview?

Is it just the upload feature? I didnt see it mention anything about "qview"

White Cloud used to go thru Riley Center when I worked at Armada Tube. Golfed mondays at Belle River. Bought alot of sodas by the 12 pack at the little party store on the corner.

And another welcome from another Michigander! Grew up in Ypsitucky and now live in Hell. Got some fine folks here to hlep ya out with whatever question ya might have.

Illini, Ya just can't compare basketball to hockey. Kinda like boiling your ribs instead of smoking slow and low.

Lou - You are correct. Hoops fans in the Big Motor are only bottom feeders in Hockeytown.

Ypsitucky? Count me as yet another born in KY who came 'north' for work. (my grandparents and great-grandparents did this, too) I always crack up when I hear that used.

welcome to smf. lurkin for a year wow. well glad you finally made it here. u will find good people and good advice/opinions. sounds like you are far enuff into this smokin thing to share a thing or two your self. lookin forward to your posts

My grand parents came south from da UP for work so my folks were already in the area. Was quite a mixed bag I grew up with but wouldn't trade it for anything and man can I tell some stories. I use the Ypsitucky term with affection.

Lou
