Hello Everyone,
from LI, NY and always loved smoked foods, been BBQ'ing for years and wanted to try smoking. I purchase a Brinkmann Gourmet ( I realize it's a less expensive type but wanted too just give it a try) I will do the mods on it. My first smoke attempt Sunday didn't go too well, from what I'm reading on this awesome site is too much white smoke and blacken food

First off welcome Gus to SMF. I just returned from a trip to the city ourselves. I'll be heading back in a week or so, so if you have a question just let me know and we will answer it for you. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
Welcome To Your New Addiction

Gus, welcome to the forum. I've also had some challenges with my ECB. There's plenty of help here; all you have to do is ask.

I'd also suggest the 5 day e course. It will get you pointed in the right direction.
