Hello everyone.

My name is Scott and I joined the forum last week.

I was given a Masterbuilt Sportsman Elite 30" Analog Electric Smoker for my birthday from my father-in-law about 2 1/2 years ago.  I only smoke occasionally.  Generally, it's the basics:  Pork shoulder, ribs, turkey, chicken, pork loin.  They all turn out pretty well to be honest.  I have smoked some swordfish and salmon and I have also tried a brisket (the brisket didn't turn out too well).  I joined the forum to gain some knowledge, pick up some tips and learn from more experienced cookers.  I would really like to get into smoking a lot more and try to "up my game".  I realize that my smoker is not the greatest, but maybe I could pick up a thing or two from you fine folks here.  Maybe I'll take the plunge and buy a better smoker some day.

Anyway, thanks in advance and I look forward to meeting you guys and learning a thing or two.

Scott

Welcome from SC, Scott. It's really good to have you here on this great site.
Much obliged Joe.  I've really enjoyed my time here so far.  A lot of great info.... and people.  Hope to get my smoker fired up this weekend.
