Hello from Kansas and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your world. Been smoking meet for about 10 years and have done it on Weber's, huge pull behind smokers, Hasty Bakes and backwoods smokers. About a month ago I switched to a Traeger because it allowed me to do what I love and still coach my girls teams and be gone for long periods of time and still make wonderful tasting food. Still have all the stick smokers and use them when I am going to be home but have to say that I love the Traeger and what it does. I hope that I can learn from all of you and become a better cook.

thanks again!

Welcome aboard! Can't wait ta see some of your smokes

Well, well Dry Socket it is surely nice to have another Kansan here. What part of the state are you from? I live up here in the McLouth area, after I lived most of my life in KC. If you have time got to the SMF map and post your pushpin,

You have certainly moved and practiced about the cookers thats for sure. I have a charcoal and an electric ECB, a home made offset drum smoker and just got me a barrel to make a UDS.
